Wage Updates and Employment Rights

From 1 April, the rates for the National Living Wage and National Minimum Wage increased, alongside wider cross-government measures aimed at supporting working people and addressing pressures on the cost of living.

The Make Work Pay plan is a government initiative on labour market reform and aims to tackle low pay, poor working conditions and poor job security. The plan is designed to help more people to stay in work, support workers’ productivity and improve living standards.
