The BVRLA has met with HM Treasury officials to put members' priorities directly into discussions ahead of the Autumn Budget on 28 October.
Chief Executive Toby Poston joined the association's policy team for discussions covering some of the key motoring tax issues facing the sector, including the future of Benefit-in-Kind (BiK) tax, Electric Vehicle Excise Duty (eVED) and Capital Allowances.
The meeting also explored the role the fleet and mobility services sector can play in supporting the Government's DRIVE35 ambitions and wider priorities around road transport decarbonisation and the UK automotive industry.
Further meetings with Treasury officials are planned this month as the BVRLA continues to make the case for a tax environment that supports sustainable, affordable mobility and gives members the certainty needed to invest.
Member feedback and data continue to play an important role in supporting the association's engagement with Government.
