Members can hear directly from the BVRLA and the Office for Zero Emission Vehicles (OZEV) next week as part of a webinar examining the Government's review of the Zero Emission Vehicle (ZEV) Mandate.

Taking place on Wednesday 2 September, 10.30am–11.15am, the session will look at the key areas under review, what the proposals could mean for leasing and rental businesses, and how the BVRLA is engaging with Government on behalf of the sector.

The webinar will draw on member input gathered through workshops and engagement during the year, alongside the BVRLA's current member survey. There will also be an opportunity to put questions to the speakers during the session.

Register for the ZEV Mandate webinar.

Members can prepare for the webinar by reading the BVRLA's ZEV Mandate Review member briefing. It provides an overview of the options being considered, including potential changes to the 2030 car and van targets, the vehicles that could continue to be sold as new from 2030, compliance flexibilities and the treatment of plug-in hybrids. It also considers the potential implications for vehicle supply, pricing and residual values.

Members can also contribute to the BVRLA's consultation response through the member survey, which is open until Monday 7 September.

Direct queries can be sent to Catherine Bowen, Head of Decarbonisation and Future Mobility, via [email protected].
