What’s on the horizon for Financial Services Regulation?

Members can strengthen their approach to complaints handling, particularly in light of ongoing focus on motor finance, with support from a new toolkit developed by the BVRLA and Konexo (a division of Eversheds Sutherland LLP).

Konexo supported the recent development of the complaints handling toolkit and continues to work closely with the BVRLA to help members identify risk areas, plan effectively for the year ahead and take appropriate action where needed.

The new document, ‘2026 Financial Services Regulations - What Members Need to Watch Out For’, is about providing practical support and guidance to members as expectations increase in this area.

This document looks at the impact and potential action for firms regarding a host of topics and regulatory frameworks, including:

  • Motor Finance Commission Redress Scheme
  • Consumer Duty
  • Consumer Credit Act Reform
  • Operational Resilience
  • Sustainability and ESG
  • Anti-Money Laundering and Financial Crime
  • AI and Data Regulation
  • Credit Broking Rules
  • Prudential Requirements
  • Appointed Representative Regime Reform.
