Two major BVRLA leasing members have shared their perspectives on the developing used EV market, looking at changing demand and the role second-life vehicles can play in making electric driving more accessible.

Published as part of #UsedEVWeek, the new blogs feature perspectives from Arval UK and Tusker, approaching the used market from different parts of the leasing landscape.

Jodie Monaghan, Operations Director at Tusker, looks at the growing role of pre-loved EVs in making electric driving more affordable and accessible. She considers changing driver demand, the role of salary sacrifice and employer-backed schemes, and what a stronger second-life market could mean for the wider EV lifecycle.

In a second blog, John Peters, Head of Consulting and AMO at Arval UK, draws on findings from the latest Arval Mobility Observatory Barometer to examine the changing place of used vehicles within UK fleets. With more businesses already operating vehicles that were not new when acquired, he considers what this changing approach could mean as more EVs enter their second and third lives.

The blogs form part of the insight and evidence being shared throughout #UsedEVWeek, looking at the factors that will help develop a healthy and sustainable used EV market.
