Battery health will be firmly in the spotlight at this year’s Fleets in Charge conference, as industry experts come together to address one of the biggest barriers to used EV adoption.
The session, ‘Is battery health something we should be worried about?’, will explore whether concerns around degradation are justified and what real-world data tells us about battery performance over time. It will also examine whether proposed regulatory developments, such as the potential introduction of GTR22, could help provide greater reassurance to buyers.
Chaired by Alexander Millinger (AVILOO), the panel will feature Laura Harvey (Autotrader), Dan Lancaster (Geotab) and Vincent St Claire (Fleet Assist), who will share insights on battery diagnostics, data and the role of transparency in building confidence in the used EV market.
The topic comes into sharper focus as the Government recently launched a consultation on updating minimum emission standards for new vehicles, including proposals to align with Euro 7. The consultation also considers introducing requirements for battery health monitoring.
With battery health continuing to shape residual values, buyer confidence and fleet strategies, this session will provide timely insight into how the sector can respond to market concerns and emerging regulation.
Early Bird tickets are currently available to members at a reduced rate of £199 + VAT per person, offering a £100 saving on the standard price. Availability is limited, and tickets will revert to the full rate once the allocation has been sold.
The event will provide opportunities for networking and discussion throughout the day, supported by event partners Allstar, Autotrader, AVILOO, The AA, Fleet Assist and Nexus Vehicle Management, with exhibitors including Jaama, Targa Telematics and Volteras.
