BVRLA members are encouraged to share National Highways' latest road safety campaign with customers and drivers, reminding them to check their tyres before setting off.
The autumn T.R.I.P. campaign comes as the number of breakdowns recorded on England's motorways and A-roads has risen by 24% since 2022. Tyre-related issues remain the biggest cause, accounting for 19% of recorded breakdowns in 2025.
Supporting Tyre Safety Month, the campaign is encouraging drivers to make tyre checks part of their pre-journey routine, including checking tread depth, tyre pressure and overall condition, and taking action where needed.
National Highways has produced a range of campaign assets for organisations to share across their own channels and networks. Members can use these to help reinforce the message with customers and drivers.
