The Chancellor, John Healey MP, has confirmed that the Autumn Budget will take place on Wednesday 28 October, with HM Treasury inviting representations ahead of the Budget. The representations window closes on 9 September.
The BVRLA has already begun preparing its submission. Last week, the BVRLA Tax Working Group met to help shape the association's key Budget priorities, with discussions focusing on electric Vehicle Excise Duty (eVED), company car Benefit in Kind (BiK) rates and Capital Allowances.
The association will engage with HM Treasury officials in the run-up to the Budget and will share its position on these and other key issues with members to help inform their own submissions.
Members are encouraged to submit their views to both the BVRLA and HM Treasury. The more organisations that raise the same issues, the stronger the sector's collective voice will be. Members wishing to feed into the BVRLA's submission can email Zohra Chagani at [email protected]. Thank you to members for your continued support in helping represent the interests of the sector.
