What are the next steps for Consumer Duty?

The introduction of the new Consumer Duty this summer is just the start of a new regulatory landscape. A host of further changes are already on the horizon and set to be discussed at the BVRLA’s third Compliance Forum of the year.

In addition to looking at the immediate impact of Consumer Duty and what actions are required going into 2024, the October Forum will also shine a spotlight on ESG. Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) reporting is gaining more momentum and becoming a formal requirement for a growing number of members. Failure to adhere greatly increases the risk of contracts being lost.

The final Compliance Forum of 2023 is taking place on Monday 16 October in London at law firm DWF. The half-day agenda will deliver a blend of keynote speeches and panel discussions featuring spokespeople from across the regulatory environment. Multiple networking opportunities will also give delegates the chance to connect with like-minded professionals.

Launched in April this year, the Compliance Forum helps BVRLA members take a more proactive approach to the industry’s fast-moving regulatory environment. Each event in the programme presents the opportunity to discuss compliance best practice and explore issues directly with regulators, lawyers, compliance experts and peers.

Additional tickets have been made available for the October event due to the popularity of the programme to date.

Individual tickets cost £149 + VAT per person, with members able to secure their spot for the entire 2024 calendar with a full subscription (£600 + VAT for two tickets at each of the three events in 2024).

See the Compliance Forum Subscription page on the BVRLA website for more details and to purchase tickets.
