Supreme Court hearing focus of Compliance Forum

The Supreme Court’s hearing on the motor finance judgment from October is taking place next week. The appeal will run from 1-3 April with a ruling expected in the weeks that follow. The case and its ongoing impact on the sector will lead the agenda of the first Compliance Forum of 2025, taking place on 28 May.

Sector experts will explore the details of the case and known – or expected – knock-on effects, whether the ruling has been delivered or not. Also on the agenda will be the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA)’s review on Vulnerable Customers, looking at the steps members may wish to take as a result.

The Forum will take place on Wednesday 28 May at the Shoosmiths office in Bow Churchyard, London. The event will also include lunch and provide excellent networking opportunities with peers.

For members already subscribed, remember to register your delegate names online or by contacting the BVRLA events team. If you haven’t attended before, this is a great opportunity to experience the Forum programme, which contains three events through the year - BVRLA Compliance Forum Subscription.
