New Chief Executive at DVLA

Tim Moss CBE has been named as the new Chief Executive of the Driver and Vehicle Licensing Agency (DVLA), effective from 31 March 2025. He will lead the DVLA's mission to make the UK’s roads the safest in the world and deliver excellent public services.

Having previously worked at the Intellectual Property Office, Moss is currently the Chief Operating Officer and Director General for Corporate Services and Inspectorates at the Welsh Government. He will take on the role from interim CEO, Lynette Rose, at the end of March. 

Speaking of his new appointment, Tim Moss CBA said: “I have enjoyed a number of links with DVLA over the years and seen the great work it has done on digital transformation and customer delivery which touches on the lives of nearly everyone in the UK. I am honoured to be able to join the DVLA team and help the next phase of making the UK’s roads the safest in the world and delivering excellent public services.”
