The unintended consequences coming to light as the industry gets to grips with the Zero Emission Vehicle (ZEV) mandate will be explored as part of the BVRLA’s Fleets in Charge Conference on 10 July. The launch of the latest Road to Zero Report Card will open proceedings, tracking how the mandate is impacting the sector’s transition to cleaner vehicles.
The assessment will span all vehicle types and member segments, diving into the hottest topics affecting the transition and give insights from the biggest names in the sector.
The session will be led by BVRLA Chief Executive Gerry Keaney and look to answer the following questions on the report’s three main themes of Demand, Infrastructure and Supply:
Supply
- How has the ZEV mandate changed things and are user's needs being met by new vehicles entering the market?
- Are we any further forward with van range and charging speeds?
- Are the costs of repairs rising and what does this mean?
Demand
- Which fleet segments are driving the transition and where is more support needed?
- What are we seeing with the cost of ownership and are energy prices having an impact?
- What impact are fluctuating residual values having on the used market and why does this matter?
Infrastructure
- Is charging rollout keeping pace?
- Has the customer experience of charging improved over the last year?
- Are those responsible for charging rollout listening to what fleets need?
