The Institute of the Motor Industry (IMI) register is promoted by the BVRLA as a place to find professionally recognised and trustworthy professionals who have proven their skills and competence.
The BVRLA provides two customer service IMI accreditation programmes designed specifically for staff working directly with customers in a driver support or customer service position and for those working as technical service advisors.
By successfully completing a series of assessments based on a set of key skills set by the IMI, candidates are entered on to the IMI Professional Register. This register is a place to find professionally recognised and trustworthy professionals who have proven their skills and competence. Furthermore, all accredited individuals are acknowledged for their commitment to a professional Code of Conduct. This not only benefits the individual but also their employer and the customer.
Benefits to the employer include; demonstration of commitment to outstanding customer service, an external validation of firm’s standards of excellence, enhanced business credibility and a competitive edge in the market place.
Benefits to the employee include; the ability for staff to evidence competence, personal reward and acknowledgement of individual contribution and improved motivation and engagement.
