Forum delves into key compliance themes

The BVRLA’s second Compliance Forum of the year will be held in-person on Thursday 18 July, at DWF’s premises at 20 Fenchurch Street (The Walkie-Talkie) in London. This forum will focus on key themes for 2024, including embedding the Consumer Duty, the discretionary commissions review, and ESG reporting.

The Compliance Forum agenda will feature an introductory regulatory overview and horizon scanning session. Attendees can look forward to a panel discussion on embedding the Consumer Duty, along with an in-depth analysis of Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) interventions or enforcement actions related to Consumer Duty. Additionally, there will be a session on the FCA’s discretionary commission review, focusing on how firms should prepare for a potential rise in complaints or redress schemes. The event will conclude with breakout sessions covering Environmental topics such as Scope 3 reporting, Social aspects like diversity and inclusion, and Governance issues including complaint handling.

Members can take out a subscription for the remaining two events in 2024. An SME member rate is also available. The final Compliance Forum date this year is Wednesday 6 November.
