Fleet futures explored at VFM Forum

Over fifty delegates attended the BVRLA’s Vehicle and Fleet Management (VFM) Forum last week, hosted by Toyota in Burnaston, Derby.

Delegates heard from David Wong of the Society of Motor Manufacturers and Traders (SMMT) on the advent of autonomous vehicles and what they might mean for fleets.

Fleet Assist provided the Forum with an overview from the service, maintenance and repair (SMR) world including the benefits of having a sensible work direction policy and how mobile servicing is growing in popularity.

FMG looked at accident management trends including busting the myth that it is only EVs that cost more to repair, when in reality it is all cars that cost more to repair than they did a few years ago!

The BVRLA’s Toby Poston presented an outline of the association's new OEM Survey which focuses on leasing members’ views of manufacturer relationships.

Attending the BVRLA’s forums requires an annual subscription fee. It will be possible to attend the remaining VFM Forum of 2024, which will take place on Thursday 14 November, tickets are available on a pro-rata basis.
