With EVs taking a record share of car sales in the UK last year, the pressure is on to accelerate the delivery of a nationwide charging point network to meet current and anticipated demand.
However, while some progress is being made with approving planning applications and obtaining connections to the grid, most charge point operators complain about the difficulties they face in extending the network. A number of critical issues need to be addressed if the government's EV ambitions are to be realised.
Providing a timely forum for discussion, City & Financial Global’s 2025 EV Infrastructure Summit will be hosted by KPMG in central London on 2 June 2025.
