BVRLA members will be able to tax electric vehicles in bulk online by the end of June, as confirmed by the Driver and Vehicle Licensing Agency (DVLA) last week.
The move was confirmed at the BVRLA’s Fleet User Group, where the DVLA shared that its BERT system – currently used by members to tax cars and vans under three years old – will be expanded to include electric vehicles and vehicles over three years old. This long-requested update will be widely welcomed, especially in light of the upcoming changes to the tax rate for electric vehicles in April.
