Consumers, Commissions and Compliance take centre stage

The changing face of motor finance regulation and actions members must take will be covered in detail at the BVRLA’s next Compliance Forum. Hosted in DWF’s panoramic offices in London’s famous ‘Walkie Talkie’ building, the half-day event is taking place on Thursday 18 July.

The dedicated forum will open with a trio of sessions exploring the changing regulatory landscape. After the scene is set with a horizon-scanning session, attention will turn to Consumer Duty as members prepare for the next phase of their obligations. A short keynote from DWF will lead into a panel discussion including compliance experts spanning the entire environment:

  • Wayne Gibbard, Shoosmiths

  • Steve Cocks, Lex Autolease

  • Jo Humphreys, lcv group

  • Naveed Asif, Consumer Credit Trade Association

The second half of the event will shine the spotlight on ESG, delving into the component parts to help members know where to start. A short overview from the BVRLA will be followed by an interactive ‘ESG Essentials’ workshop. Environmental, Social and Governance factors will be tackled in turn to give delegates a rounded understanding of their obligations, the key metrics to consider and how the reporting process can unlock new opportunities.

The Compliance Forum programme is accessible to members via an annual subscription. Members with a subscription for 2024 should confirm their spots for Thursday 18 July now. Pro-rated subscriptions for the remaining two events of 2024 (two tickets to each event) are still available. Visit the Compliance Forum page for details.
