2025 Closed Consultations

  • FOS & FCA fees – Closed 24 and 29 January, respectively, the BVRLA supported fair fees for members.  
  • Renewable Transport Fuel Obligation (RTFO) scheme - Closed on 27th January. The BVRLA has called for the RTFO to be expanded to include renewable electricity. This would boost private infrastructure installation to support members with the cost of charging.  
  • FOS / FCA Joint Call for Input - modernising the redress system – Closed 30 January. The BVRLA called for reform to deliver better market and consumer outcomes through a reworked approach to mass redress.  
  • Green Taxonomy – Closed 6 February. The BVRLA flagged the need for action from the Government to make the investment case for green assets appealing and financially viable.  
  • DMCCA subscription – Closed 10 February. The BVRLA flagged challenges the legislation may create for car club and rental subscription providers. We continue to engage with DBT.  
  • OFGEM – Closed 12 February. BVRLA engaged with Ofgem on its grid connections review and how it plans to ensure better standards of service and more timely connections.
