Ahead of the general election in 2024, the CBI is calling for UK businesses to work together for green growth.
The Business Manifesto has been created with input from CBI members – including the BVRLA – and sets out a programme of action for how the next government can hit the ground running post-election. Sustainable growth and how to deliver it in the short-, medium-, and long-term underpins the programme.
Among the topics addressed are productivity, business investment and skills shortages. These are issues being seen across many sectors and will be all too familiar to BVRLA members.
The BVRLA is in constant contact with the CBI to align on messaging and discuss how to support members. A key element of that work is tackling the rental and leasing exemption from full expensing, with both parties being active members of HM Treasury’s working group to seek a resolution.
More on full expensing is in the Autumn Statement update: Autumn Statement: What you need to know.
