BVRLA joins GreenFleet’s mission for Scotland’s EV adoption

The state of the rental market in Scotland and its journey to zero-emission solutions took centre stage at GreenFleet’s Mission Zero Roadshow last week. BVRLA Senior Policy Advisor Catherine Bowen chaired panel discussions with members on each of the three days, across Edinburgh, Dundee, and Inverness.

The Scottish roadshow was run in collaboration with Transport Scotland with the overall purpose of supporting fleets and Scottish businesses.

There were presentations from Dundee City Council and the Highlands Council on progress with rolling out charging infrastructure. Transport Scotland also gave an update on the work it is doing to support public sector fleets and the widespread rollout of charging infrastructure.

Catherine chaired a panel session to highlight the BVRLA’s Rental Credentials and to demonstrate the value rental can bring. Daily discussions explored the challenges firms face and where there are opportunities to support fleets.

The BVRLA is pursuing work with Transport Scotland and the tourism board to promote charging and give rental customers the confidence to hire an EV. That is in addition to supporting its ongoing work with public sector fleets and charging infrastructure.
