Just over a year has passed since the BVRLA’s first Road to Zero Report Card, but there has been a notable acceleration in the drive to decarbonise.
By 2025, we believe that the rental, leasing and fleet sector will be responsible for 80% of the UK’s new BEV sales, and 75% of BEVs on UK roads. In other words, the destiny of road transport decarbonisation lies in its hands.
That destiny will be shaped by three key factors, which we are using to gauge the market in this year’s Road to Zero Report Card. In it we look at electric vehicle Supply, Demand and Infrastructure and assess whether they are putting the brakes on the EV transition or adding an injection of speed.
