The annual Member Survey is now open, giving BVRLA members the chance to share views on what the association does well and where it has the opportunity to improve.

Half of all local authorities now have an electric vehicle charging strategy in place, but only a tiny proportion are talking to fleets about their needs. The latest Fleet Friendly Charging Index from the BVRLA shows that 49% of local authorities have a plan in place, up from 37% last year.

The BVRLA’s first-ever Vehicle & Fleet Management (VFM) Forum took place in Warwick last week. It gave delegates data and exclusive insights on consumer dispute trends and SMR differences between ICE models and EVs.

The UK government has confirmed that it is on track to decarbonise its central car fleet, having ended 2022 with 25.5% of its cars being ultra-low emission vehicles (ULEV).

This course is aimed at small vehicle leasing brokerages and daily rental firms who do some regulated business. It is also suitable for those responsible for compliance in larger firms. Designed to be part of an organisation's induction programme, providing insights into the rental and leasing sector, identifying the key players and explaining the features and benefits of the main acquisition methods for fleets and individuals. It also covers the role of the BVRLA in regulating the industry and our Conciliation service.

With consistent exponential growth in the take up of Electric Vehicles, and almost a quarter of new vehicle registrations being either Battery Electric or Plug in Hybrid, EV leases and rentals are more popular than ever.
