How does it work and what are the implications for the UK market? The ZEV Mandate places an annually increasing target on carmakers, one that most have struggled to meet. September registrations will likely reveal the growing unintended consequences, which the new government may respond to in the Autumn budget. This masterclass explains the detail of the mandate, targets and various mechanisms, the choices faced by carmakers to avoid penalties, and the opportunities and implications for fleets.
