ESG Scope 3 Compliance for Leaders

With the newly elected Labour government, we will see a greater green agenda focus, meaning that both government and regulators are set to expand their scope of sustainability disclosure requirements. This is something already affecting tens of thousands of UK businesses and is only set to grow. You will learn to identify the specific business activities that are likely to trigger a compliance event, and gain a basic understanding of what sustainability disclosures are required for each.

Who is delivering the session?

The BVRLA has partnered with ESG experts Ben Horn and Dr Marc LePere at Omnevue to provide an insightful online session with takeaway resources for you and your business. 

Dr Marc Lepere is an Executive Fellow of King’s Business School, King's College London where he leads executive education on ESG and Sustainability. He is a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy and serves as a visiting lecturer at the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania. He is an Economics graduate of Trinity College, Dublin and holds a MSc from King’s.

 Marc has published in leading journals including Stanford Social Innovation Review, the Financial Times and Discovering Truth (series 1) which was nominated for a Pulitzer Prize. Professionally, Marc has served as Chief Marketing Officer for Havas Worldwide; Executive Vice President for McCann Erickson World Group and Deputy Chairman of Dentsu in Europe, Middle East and Africa. In 2021, he co-founded Omnevue.

Ben Horn is an ESG Specialist at Omnevue. Ben’s professional career started as an ACA Chartered Accountant working for EY and BKL in Accounts and Audit. He subsequently went to specialise in Intellectual Property and Royalties audits at Grant Thornton. Ben decided to pursue his passion of Sustainability and studied at the University of Cambridge Institute for Sustainability Leadership whilst taking a Management Consultant position at a boutique Sustainability Consultancy called Carnstone, specialising in strategy and reporting across the ESG agenda.

Cancellation Policy 
Requests for cancellation of a training course booking must be received in writing via email to [email protected] for the attention of the Learning and Development Professional. Requests for cancellation received more than 30 days prior to the course start date incur an administrative charge for the processing of the refund at the rate of 25% of the course fee. Requests for cancellation received more 15-30 days prior to the course start date incur an administrative charge for the processing of the refund at the rate of 50% of the course fee. There is no refund on cancellations made 14 days or less prior to the course start date as there is an impact on other delegates who have booked to attend and could result in the course being cancelled overall.

Postponements
Postponement of attendance from one course to a later course can be requested in writing as per the cancellations policy above to training @bvrla.co.uk. Requests to postpone more than 30 days prior to the course start date will incur an administration charge of £35 + VAT. Requests to postpone more 15-30 days prior to the course will incur an administration charge of £70 + VAT. Requests to postpone 14 days or less prior to the course will be treated as a cancellation, with no refund payable.

Substitutions
You can request the substitution of a delegate for another in writing as per the cancellations policy above to [email protected]. There is no charge for this. Requests for substitution must be made no later than one business day prior to the scheduled course start date.
