Electric Vehicles (Cars) - Operational Technical Support for Rental Instructor-Led Course

As rental embraces electrification, it is crucial that the rental industry develops its knowledge to effectively support customers in the adoption electric vehicles (BEVs & PHEVs). BVRLA’s training course will provide a full overview of the EV landscape, current market entrants and valuable advice for members supporting their customers need for technical operational support.

Trainer

Jon Burdekin has 30 years’ experience in the UK leasing and fleet finance industry, having previously worked for such major leasing companies as Alphabet GB Ltd and GE Capital Fleet Services.  His 15 year career with Alphabet incorporated roles as Account Manager, Head of Account Management, Head of Consulting Services and Head of Product Management as well as leading the consultancy division to add key value differentiation and technical innovation.

Client relationships that Jon had direct responsibility for included McDonald’s, Shell, Oracle, Royal and Sun Alliance, Royal London Mutual Assurance and the BBC. By managing such large vehicle fleets, he has gained extensive knowledge in all aspects of fleet management, including vehicle acquisition methods, cost control, driver risk, and vehicle choice list analysis.

A subject matter expert in the adoption of electric vehicles into company fleets, Jon also has deep levels of knowledge in the tax efficient alternatives to company vehicle funding and Grey Fleet Management.

Jon has run his own fleet consultancy business since January 2019 with the aim of helping businesses manage their vehicle fleets more effectively and futureproofing the fleet by implementing the transition to 100% electric by 2030

Cancellation Policy 
Requests for cancellation of a training course booking must be received in writing via email to [email protected] for the attention of the Learning and Development Professional. Requests for cancellation received more than 30 days prior to the course start date incur an administrative charge for the processing of the refund at the rate of 25% of the course fee. Requests for cancellation received more 15-30 days prior to the course start date incur an administrative charge for the processing of the refund at the rate of 50% of the course fee. There is no refund on cancellations made 14 days or less prior to the course start date as there is an impact on other delegates who have booked to attend and could result in the course being cancelled overall.

Postponements
Postponement of attendance from one course to a later course can be requested in writing as per the cancellations policy above to training @bvrla.co.uk. Requests to postpone more than 30 days prior to the course start date will incur an administration charge of £35 + VAT. Requests to postpone more 15-30 days prior to the course will incur an administration charge of £70 + VAT. Requests to postpone 14 days or less prior to the course will be treated as a cancellation, with no refund payable.

Substitutions
You can request the substitution of a delegate for another in writing as per the cancellations policy above to [email protected]. There is no charge for this. Requests for substitution must be made no later than one business day prior to the scheduled course start date.
