These industry issue-based events are designed to bring BVRLA members up-to-date on key topics ranging from tax and regulatory changes to residual values and vehicle technology. Typically lasting half a day, they are held all over the UK and offer industry professionals the chance to improve their industry knowledge, share experiences and do a bit of networking.

From 1 January 2010 the BVRLA’ s forums and seminars will qualify for continuous professional development credits for Member of the Institute of the Motor Industry (MIMI) and ATA Technical Services. Qualifying participants at these BVRLA events will be able to have their IMI-issued CPD vouchers validated on the day to make self-submission of professional learning a simple process. The SMR and RVR forums and BVRLA seminars will qualify as structured learning activities.
There are currently no seminars scheduled.

These ad-hoc learning events are usually focused on commercial requirements and have a focus on practical application.
With speakers sourced from within the industry, academia, government and other affiliated businesses, BVRLA seminars enable members to talk to the experts and get their questions answered.
All levels of staff are targeted and locations are carefully chosen to bring in the widest audience possible.

These events aim to disseminate industry information to large numbers of people with an emphasis on audience participation. They are held at regular intervals throughout the year. The two current areas of focus are residual values and remarketing and servicing, maintenance and repair.
